Stays cool for the next few days!
The rain moved out early in the day, and by Monday afternoon most of us were under the sunshine. Our forecast remains mainly dry through the coming weekend, while today's cool-down reminds us that it is mid-autumn! The cool-and-dry air mass that moved into WAFB communities through the day on Monday turns downright chilly later tonight. Tuesday sunrise temps will drop into the mid 30°s for metro Baton Rouge, and that means pockets of wake-up frost for areas along and north of the I-10/12 corridor. Our forecast keeps morning lows in the 30°s through Thursday, with a slow warm-up setting in for the latter part of the week and the weekend. -- Jay Grymes / WAFB Storm Team
