Next Front Arrives Early Thursday
High-level clouds continue to stream in from the west thanks in a large part to outflow from the eastern Pacific’s Hurricane Paul. You may note a little rain over Texas this afternoon and evening as a weak upper-air disturbance interacts with the high-level moisture, and that disturbance is expected to slide to the east later this evening and overnight. So we might see a few sprinkles later this evening and overnight -- mainly to the west of the Atchafalaya Basin and possibly along the coast -- but “dry” is the forecast into Wednesday for the vast majority of the WAFB viewing area. Our next front arrives early Thursday, sweeps through in the morning, and leaves us with a great looking forecast for Friday through Sunday! -- Jay Grymes / WAFB Storm Team
