Flooding Concerns Next Few Days
** Flash Flood Watch in effect for most of the WAFB viewing area through 6 PM on Thursday **
24 hour rainfall totals have been very impressive with 3-4" being very common with even a few spots getting 4-6"! Needless to say flooding is a big concern across the area today and tomorrow. Periods of heavy rains will continue to occur adding to already high rainfall totals. The weather will turn mostly dry on Friday as the main storm system pushes to the northeast of the area. The mainly dry weather doesn't last long. A new storm system will arrive just in time for the weekend causing more wet weather and even t-storms. Sct'd showers and t-storms stay in the forecast from Saturday through the first half of the next work week. - Jeff Morrow & Diane Deaton / WAFB Storm Team
